TL;DR
2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer: Providing hands-on technical support for desktop, device, and end-user computing environments with an accent on hardware troubleshooting, M365 administration, and device management. Focus on resolving complex incidents, managing office moves, and maintaining IT infrastructure across multiple sites.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Doncaster, UK (5 days onsite required). Access to a vehicle and a full, valid UK driving licence are essential.
Salary: £72,000–£77,000 per annum (permanent roles) or £240 per day (contract roles).

What you will do
- Diagnose and resolve complex desktop, hardware, software, and mobility issues.
- Build, maintain, and deploy desktop applications and cloud-based compute devices.
- Administer Active Directory tasks, including user creation and device management.
- Manage devices using MDM technologies such as Intune and Entra ID.
- Support Microsoft O365, SharePoint, and mailbox provisioning.
- Execute desktop moves, office relocations, and refresh programmes.
Requirements
- Must have a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Must be able to work onsite in Doncaster 5 days per week.
- Proven experience in a 2nd line desktop support role.
- Solid experience with Microsoft environments, including M365, Active Directory, and Intune.
- Working knowledge of networking, security best practices, and ticketing systems.
- Ability to provide hands-on support for network and server hardware.
