Salary: $176,000 - $237,600

What you will do

• Design, implement, and ship features for the core hirify.global server.
• Solve complex distributed systems challenges including task matching, scheduling, and workflow execution.
• Make engineering tradeoffs between developer experience, performance, and system operability.
• Improve server reliability through observability, dashboards, alerts, and documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating production distributed systems.
• Strong fundamentals in concurrency, fault tolerance, and scheduling.
• Experience writing concurrent code in production using Go, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience building high-scale backend services or orchestration systems.
• Strong debugging and operational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with open-source software or communities.
• Experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with databases such as Elasticsearch, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Kubernetes and related technologies.
