What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of features for open source products.
• Collaborate with internal engineers and the open source community to resolve feature requests and bugs.
• Integrate software products with defense systems to ensure security and interoperability.
• Own architecture decisions and maintain high technical standards across the engineering team.
• Develop comprehensive documentation including design specifications and user manuals.
• Amplify project visibility through community engagement, case studies, and conference presentations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Proficiency in Go and strong understanding of system design and cloud architecture.
• Experience with core Kubernetes concepts such as controllers, operators, and CRDs.
• Experience contributing to open source projects.
• Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Participation in CNCF, ASF, or OpenSSF.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with GitOps and container orchestration.
