What you will do

• Identify and maintain a network of community organizations, realtors, and government agencies to generate mortgage referrals.
• Guide customers through the residential mortgage application process, explaining products and disclosures.
• Communicate underwriting decisions and coordinate with processors, underwriters, and closing agents.
• Represent the bank at community meetings, housing seminars, and financial literacy programs.
• Ensure all loan originations comply with established policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Manage pipeline information and maintain accurate documentation for underwriting and regulatory purposes.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for NMLS registration as a mortgage loan originator.
• 3+ years of related experience in mortgage lending or a similar financial role.
• Must be based in or able to work from Hyattsville, MD.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage industry products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines.
• Demonstrated sales ability and experience managing a network of referral sources.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit report check as required by federal law.
