What you will do

  • Lead global employment law strategy, including hiring, disciplinary actions, restructurings, and compensation compliance.
  • Manage all stages of litigation and dispute resolution, overseeing outside counsel and formulating legal strategy.
  • Partner with People & Workplaces (HR) on works council matters and collective employee relations.
  • Champion the adoption of AI-powered legal tools for research, document review, and workflow automation.
  • Advise on complex global compliance issues, including pay transparency, privacy, and disability accommodations.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks across product, engineering, and business operations.

Requirements

  • J.D. from a nationally recognized law school and active U.S. state bar membership.
  • 10+ years of relevant employment law and litigation experience, including 4+ years at a top law firm.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. employment law with demonstrated experience in UK, EU, or APAC jurisdictions.
  • Substantial hands-on litigation experience, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency and enthusiasm for leveraging legal technology to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment within the U.S.

Nice to have

  • Prior in-house experience at a publicly traded, multinational technology company.
  • Experience with employment-related M&A, TUPE, and WARN Act compliance.
  • Familiarity with global data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
  • Experience managing or mentoring legal team members.
