TL;DR

Senior Counsel, Employment (iGaming): Providing legal guidance on employment and labor law matters across the US and Canada with an accent on compliance, employee relations, and regulatory requirements. Focus on managing pre-litigation claims, drafting employment policies, and advising on gaming regulatory issues.

Location: Hybrid in Las Vegas, NV, Alpharetta, GA, or Chicago, IL (minimum 4 days per week in office). Remote locations may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Salary: $175,000–$200,000

What you will do

  • Advise on the full range of US employment and labor law, including hiring, wage and hour compliance, and terminations.
  • Draft and provide guidance on employment, compliance, and safety and security policies.
  • Support responses to administrative charges and proceedings before the EEOC, DOL, and NLRB.
  • Counsel management and HR on employee relations, including investigations of workplace misconduct.
  • Negotiate and interpret agreements implicating labor law, including restrictive covenants.
  • Oversee a global team of immigration specialists and advise on Canadian employment issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • At least 6 years of relevant employment and labor law experience at a national law firm or in-house.
  • Expertise in employment litigation, including federal court pleadings and ESI discovery.
  • Strong ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to business stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Significant experience with immigration matters.
  • Experience advising on US or international data privacy.
  • Past experience with Canadian labor and employment law.
  • Federal judicial clerkship experience.
