Senior Systems Engineer (Control Systems)

Location: Onsite in Santa Barbara, California, United States

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 annually

What you will do

• Support the design, development, integration, testing, and verification of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Work with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to create component and subsystem specifications.
• Define hardware and software interfaces between subsystems.
• Develop, test, analyze, and document turret fire control algorithms.
• Build linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to evaluate system performance.
• Provide technical leadership, prepare technical documentation, and support laboratory and field testing, including occasional travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing.
• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of classical and modern control systems, signal processing, and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with the hardware and software aspects of electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to access US export-controlled information and obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing.
• Experience designing, integrating, and testing turret fire control systems.
