Salary: $180,000–$225,000 base pay

hirify.global is an aerospace and defense company developing electric air taxis, autonomous vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems, aviation AI, and powertrain technologies.

What you will do

  • Define and maintain system-level product requirements for flight control and actuation systems, including interfaces with other aircraft systems.
  • Coordinate systems engineering activities to ensure integrated systems meet technical, business, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to system architecture, trade studies, functional breakdowns, interface definition, and multidisciplinary integration problem solving.
  • Support suppliers and review their requirements, designs, documentation, and performance.
  • Coordinate system-level validation and verification, including requirements verification, robustness testing, performance analysis, and production acceptance testing.
  • Develop certification plans, compliance documentation, system descriptions, review reports, and aircraft-level technical documentation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience and a degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with highly integrated systems, preferably in aerospace, and with actuation control system requirements and controls implementation.
  • Knowledge of actuation electronics, mechanical fundamentals, EMI/EMC design and testing, and harsh-environment design.
  • Familiarity with civil aviation systems engineering standards and experience developing aircraft from concept through certification and entry into service.
  • Experience using one or more requirements management tools.
  • Eligibility for any U.S. Government authorizations required under ITAR and EAR export control regulations is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Experience with formal validation and verification activities in a civil aerospace program.
  • Experience with low- and high-voltage electronics design, board layout, and testing.
  • Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink, Python, or similar scripting languages.
