TL;DR

People Adviser (HR): Providing expert HR support and guidance on employee relations and lifecycle matters with an accent on coaching managers and implementing people-focused projects. Focus on resolving complex employee relations cases, managing organisational change, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Manchester, UK; 2 days a week in office)

Salary: £34,000 – £38,300

What you will do

  • Provide expert advice to managers and colleagues on employee lifecycle and employee relations matters.
  • Lead and support people-focused projects, including organisational change, restructures, and policy implementation.
  • Coach managers to build their capability and drive positive people outcomes using data and insight.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, such as absence, performance, grievance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct job benchmarking and evaluations using external data and systems.
  • Maintain professional relationships with recognised Trade Unions and Employee Forums.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience advising managers on a broad range of employee relations and lifecycle matters.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be located in or able to commute to Manchester for hybrid work.
