Global Industrial Hygiene Program Owner (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid role based at an hirify.global site in Malaysia, Kulim; additional locations include Malaysia, Penang; Chengdu, China; and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

What you will do

• Govern global industrial hygiene programs and maintain standards, guidelines, tools, training materials, and compliance resources.
• Interpret regulations and internal requirements, translating them into practical site-level expectations.
• Partner with site EHS, operations, engineering, and other stakeholders to close compliance gaps and strengthen controls.
• Provide technical guidance for compliance assurance activities and investigations involving exposure concerns, deviations, or control failures.
• Monitor dashboards, metrics, compliance data, and trends to verify program effectiveness and escalate emerging risks.
• Drive root-cause analysis, benchmarking, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related specialized field.
• 7+ years of industrial hygiene experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years with a master’s degree, or no experience requirement with a PhD.
• Proficiency in industrial hygiene methodologies, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and workplace monitoring.
• Expertise in evaluating chemical exposures and toxicological risks.
• Experience owning programs, improving processes, and developing and implementing industrial hygiene policies.
• Experience with multi-site or global EHS programs, EHS management systems, audits, self-assessments, and compliance assurance.

Nice to have

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification or equivalent.
• Experience developing and implementing global programs using metrics and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience coaching and mentoring teams to improve safety culture and compliance.
• Experience in semiconductor or similarly complex manufacturing environments.
