What you will do
- Manage compliance with national, provincial, and local EHS&S laws, regulations, company standards, and policies.
- Support EHS permits for new projects and lead industrial hygiene activities across the plant to identify risks and address deviations.
- Facilitate PEC activities and continuously improve programs covering ergonomics, behavioral safety, hazardous energy, waste, environmental releases, audits, and corrective actions.
- Collect and report EHS&S metrics and KPIs, including data required for sustainability reporting, customer requests, and certifications.
- Train plant associates in incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or safety studies, engineering, technical science, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience implementing and managing EHS&S programs in a large manufacturing facility.
- Experience developing EHS&S programs in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a labor union setting.
- Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or a comparable EHS&S management system.
- Strong knowledge of country, provincial, and local safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene management and a proven record of implementing EHS&S initiatives.
