Environmental Health and Safety Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Johor, Malaysia. Travel: None.

What you will do

• Work with facilities, manufacturing, and other functions to understand processes that create EHS risks.
• Complete compliance verifications for hazardous-substance use, waste generation, and process by-products.
• Identify risk opportunities and support improvements to inspection processes.
• Check PPE compliance against applicable standards.
• Participate in ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 documentation reviews and on-site observations.
• Collect, analyze, and present EHS data using company tools, databases, and other platforms.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related Microsoft Suite tools.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn environmental, health, and safety requirements and practices.
• Ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
