What you will do

• Provide pre-order engineering support, including preliminary drawings, communication diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Review customer technical specifications and scopes of work to align with available products.
• Collaborate with design, mechanical, and production teams to develop customized solutions for complex power applications.
• Maintain and expand libraries of standard design details and CAD resources.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, including NEC, UL, and IEEE.
• Deliver technical consultation and application training to internal teams and customers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent technical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in applications or design engineering within the power industry.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and ability to interpret mechanical assembly drawings.
• Strong understanding of three-phase electrical power systems, protection strategies, and control systems.
• Familiarity with electrical codes such as UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, IEEE C37.20, and the National Electrical Code.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLC and HMI programming.
• Knowledge of power studies and protection coordination.
• Experience with communication protocols including Ethernet networking, Modbus, and IEC 61850.
