What you will do

• Provide pre-order engineering support, including preliminary drawings, communication diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Collaborate with design, mechanical, and production teams to develop innovative solutions for unique applications.
• Review customer plans and specifications to ensure alignment with product offerings before design hand-off.
• Deliver technical training on products and applications to internal teams and clients.
• Ensure strict compliance with NEC, UL, and IEEE codes and standards during product evaluations.
• Provide ongoing technical consultation and contribute to the library of standard design resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in design, applications, or field service roles focused on power products.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to interpret mechanical assembly drawings.
• Strong understanding of three-phase electric power systems, distribution, and protection strategies.
• Knowledge of communications hardware and protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, IEC 61850).
• Familiarity with UL standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A), IEEE C37.20, and the National Electric Code (NEC).

Nice to have

• Experience with PLC and HMI programming.
• Knowledge of power studies and protection coordination.
