What you will do

• Perform detailed design of substation electrical power systems including one-line diagrams, schematics, and grounding.
• Develop protective relay settings and perform power system studies such as short circuit, load flow, and arc flash analysis.
• Prepare project documentation, cost estimates, and budget reports.
• Provide field assistance and troubleshooting for utility and industrial projects.
• Check the work of designers and drafters for quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project deliverables meet technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 1–5 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Familiarity with substation electrical design and relevant codes and standards.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform occasional field work.

Nice to have

• FE or PE licensure.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Electric power option in degree program.
