TL;DR

Professional Services Consultant (SaaS/CRM): Guide Mid-Market and Small Enterprise customers through successful deployment and initial adoption of the Gong platform with an accent on hands-on platform configuration, revenue operations best practices, and measurable business outcomes. Focus on discovery and process mapping, solution design and documentation, QA/UAT and post-go-live hypercare, and validating integrations with customer technical teams.

Location: Chicago

Salary: $100,000-$150,000 USD (annual hiring range)

What you will do

  • Run discovery and business process mapping to analyze current revenue workflows, diagnose customer needs, and define the optimal Gong solution.
  • Perform hands-on configuration of the Gong platform to match the approved solution design and meet customer business requirements.
  • Design and document the solution, including persona-based workflow design, configuration blueprints, and deployment documentation.
  • Drive organizational change management (OCM) activities to support user adoption and sustained value realization post go-live.
  • Own QA and testing: develop test scenarios, coordinate UAT, and provide immediate support during post-go-live hypercare.
  • Collaborate with customer technical teams to validate data, confirm integration details, and complete security checklists for deployment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of consulting experience in a customer-facing Professional Services role, preferably for SaaS implementations.
  • Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and RevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue operations and business processes (e.g., pipeline management, sales cycles, team structure).
  • Proficiency designing and implementing solutions in a major CRM platform (Salesforce, Hubspot, or Dynamics).
  • Technical aptitude for hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and working with customer technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to convey technical and business concepts.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of a sales methodology (e.g., MEDDICCC, Challenger Sale, Miller Heiman).
  • Experience supporting implementations in Mid-Market or Small Enterprise segments.
  • Familiarity with foundational project management principles (scope management, task planning).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites for critical milestones.
