What you will do

• Design and operate reliable cross-DC and hybrid connectivity using IPsec, BGP, routing policy, and firewalling.
• Build high-availability network paths across data centers, public cloud providers, Kubernetes/Talos, and bare-metal infrastructure.
• Own network changes end-to-end, including risk assessment, peer review, rollout, monitoring, and rollback.
• Replace fragile manual patterns with documented, observable, and repeatable services using Git review and automation.
• Debug and resolve production incidents involving Linux networking, BIRD/FRR, and Kubernetes CNI behavior.
• Maintain high-level and low-level architecture documents, topology diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Senior production networking experience in high-availability environments.
• Deep expertise in BGP and routing fundamentals (prefix filtering, communities, route policy, failover).
• Strong experience with IPsec, VPN, and site-to-site connectivity (e.g., strongSwan).
• Advanced Linux networking knowledge (iproute2, tcpdump, nftables/iptables, conntrack).
• Experience with Cloud provider networking (VPC, CIDR, Security Groups) and Datacenter fundamentals (VLANs, LACP).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking (CNI, Services, Ingress, NetworkPolicy).
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, and Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with Juniper JunOS, EVPN/VXLAN, or leaf-spine network topologies.
• Knowledge of BIRD/FRR, anycast routing, RPKI, or public BGP routing operations.
• Familiarity with network automation platforms like NetBox, Nautobot, Batfish, or pyATS.
• Experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust, AWS Transit Gateway, or Cilium.
