Senior Cloud Support Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Serve as the designated support engineer for premium Business Critical accounts, owning the technical experience and outcomes.
• Drive resolution of complex L2/L3 technical issues against premium SLAs with detailed case hygiene.
• Lead Sev1/Sev2 incident response, coordinating cross-team resolution and driving root cause analysis (RCA) to completion.
• Troubleshoot VM migration and workload-mobility issues, specifically VMware-to-PCD (vJailbreak) edge cases.
• Perform environment health checks, maintain account runbooks, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
• Mentor L1-L3 Cloud Support Engineers and surface recurring defects as structured feedback for Engineering and Product teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant L2/L3 cloud or infrastructure support experience.
• In-depth technical knowledge in 3+ areas: Linux administration (Ubuntu/RHEL), Kubernetes, OpenStack, Virtualization (KVM/QEMU), Networking, or Storage.
• Proficiency with automation and IaC tools including Terraform, Ansible, and scripting with Bash or Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
• Must be based in North or South America with valid work authorization/visas for those regions.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with VMware-to-PCD (vJailbreak) migrations.
• Industry certifications such as CKA/CKAD, RHCSA/RHCE, or cloud provider certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
