TL;DR
Senior Cloud Support Engineer (Kubernetes/OpenStack): Providing high-level technical support for critical enterprise accounts with an accent on L2/L3 troubleshooting and high-severity incident response. Focus on resolving complex VM migration issues, workload mobility, and ensuring the stability of private cloud environments.
Location: Remote (North and South America only). Candidates must have the required visa and permits to work in these locations.

What you will do
- Serve as the designated support engineer for premium Business Critical accounts, owning the technical experience and outcomes.
- Drive resolution of complex L2/L3 technical issues against premium SLAs with detailed case hygiene.
- Lead Sev1/Sev2 incident response, coordinating cross-team resolution and driving root cause analysis (RCA) to completion.
- Troubleshoot VM migration and workload-mobility issues, specifically VMware-to-PCD (vJailbreak) edge cases.
- Perform environment health checks, maintain account runbooks, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
- Mentor L1-L3 Cloud Support Engineers and surface recurring defects as structured feedback for Engineering and Product teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant L2/L3 cloud or infrastructure support experience.
- In-depth technical knowledge in 3+ areas: Linux administration (Ubuntu/RHEL), Kubernetes, OpenStack, Virtualization (KVM/QEMU), Networking, or Storage.
- Proficiency with automation and IaC tools including Terraform, Ansible, and scripting with Bash or Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
- Must be based in North or South America with valid work authorization/visas for those regions.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with VMware-to-PCD (vJailbreak) migrations.
- Industry certifications such as CKA/CKAD, RHCSA/RHCE, or cloud provider certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
