Senior Cloud Network Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: Remote across the United States

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid network architectures.
• Configure cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including virtual networks, connectivity, routing, and security controls.
• Manage TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, switching, subnetting, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, SD-WAN, and cloud-to-cloud routing.
• Automate infrastructure and network operations using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and scripting.
• Apply network security best practices, Zero Trust principles, and cloud-native security services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable digital infrastructure for federal customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of engineering experience; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one technical area, including infrastructure engineering.
• Remote work must be performed across the United States.
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider; AWS and Azure expertise is preferred.
• Strong networking knowledge, including routing, BGP, switching, subnetting, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• At least one relevant professional certification in cloud, networking, or security.

Nice to have

• Current or previous Federal Government clearance.
• Experience with PrivateLink, Policy Enforcement Points, cloud migration, container networking, Kubernetes, Docker, Route 53, DNS, DevOps tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing multi-cloud and hybrid networking strategies.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.
