Technical Principal - Global Network Engineer

TL;DR

Technical Principal - Global Network Engineer: Designing and engineering global enterprise network solutions with an accent on Software Defined Networking, core routing, and automation. Focus on leading architectural design, mentoring peer engineers, and implementing self-service workflows using Terraform and Ansible to modernize infrastructure.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Arlington, TX (Hybrid: 2 days onsite/week)

What you will do

• Architect and design global enterprise network solutions including SDN, core routing, and security.
• Pioneer automation initiatives to provide self-service workflows and automated deployments.
• Provide Tier III technical support and serve as the escalation point for complex network issues.
• Lead, coach, and mentor peer network engineers while providing project guidance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and network diagrams.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze functional requirements and deliver solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to Arlington, TX for a hybrid work schedule.
• No sponsorship available for this position.
• Expert knowledge in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and campus switching design.
• Proficiency in SD-WAN (Viptela/Cisco) and SDN (Cisco ACI).
• Experience with network automation tools including Ansible, Terraform, and RestAPI.
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering and design.

Nice to have

• CCIE certification or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience with cloud data center configuration (Azure).
• Experience with network monitoring tools like 1KE, LiveNX, or NNMi.
