TL;DR

Finance Business Partner (Retail Operations): Lead revenue and cost forecasting and long-range planning for a £650m retail operation with an accent on store profitability and commercial insight. Focus on building robust financial models, challenging senior stakeholder assumptions, and supporting AI-led reporting transformation.

Location: Hybrid; must be present at the Nuneaton office (UK) minimum 2 days per week, with travel to stores as required.

A well-known UK health and wellness retailer operating over 800 stores across the UK and Ireland.

What you will do

  • Lead revenue and cost forecasting, reporting, and long-range planning for the Retail division.
  • Partner with Retail Directors, Stores, and Property teams to analyze and improve store profitability.
  • Translate weekly and monthly reporting into actionable commercial insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Develop robust financial models and scenarios to support confident commercial decisions.
  • Challenge assumptions and uncover opportunities regarding revenue, stock loss, and operating costs.
  • Support reporting automation and AI-led transformation within the Finance function.

Requirements

  • Recognized accountancy qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experience in finance business partnering or FP&A within a complex or multi-site organization.
  • Strong understanding of revenue forecasting and commercial drivers in the retail sector.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including scenario planning.
  • Ability to constructively challenge senior stakeholders and turn complex data into compelling stories.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Anaplan or Power BI.
  • Interest in automation and AI.
