TL;DR
Finance Analyst (FP&A): Managing OPEX budgeting and forecasting to bring consistency and forward-looking insight to the cost base with an accent on financial mechanics and commercial context. Focus on building reporting from the ground up, performing variance analysis, and partnering with budget holders across all functions.
Location: Hybrid (Leicestershire or London, UK). Fully remote working is not available.

What you will do
- Support OPEX budgeting and forecasting across all business functions to produce decision-ready forecasts.
- Produce and maintain regular cost reporting to provide teams with clear visibility of spend.
- Perform variance and driver analysis to identify root causes of cost movements and recommend actions.
- Execute month-end tasks, including journal postings, applying solid accounting principles.
- Partner with budget holders on headcount and software licensing management to provide forward-looking insight.
- Contribute to long-term forecast models and scenario analysis for effective investment allocation.
Requirements
- Solid grounding in financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting.
- Strong analytical capability to transform complex datasets into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills, specifically in modelling and Power Query.
- High attention to data hygiene, reconciliations, controls, and documentation.
- Strong business partnering and communication skills to build trusted relationships.
- Must be based in the UK and able to work from the Leicestershire or London offices.
Nice to have
- Part-qualified or working towards a recognized accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience managing headcount and software licensing reporting.
