What you will do
- Build and operate a data platform that enables decision-making across the company with performance, reliability, and usability in mind.
- Design and evolve the core data model for advanced analytics and reporting, defining data quality, governance, and lifecycle standards.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, observable data pipelines for ingestion and transformation.
- Apply engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and versioning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across product, operations, finance, risk/compliance, and engineering to turn business goals into data solutions.
- Contribute to team strategy and roadmapping to align technical delivery with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Production-grade dataflows using Python and SQL.
- Experience scheduling/operating pipelines with Airflow or Dagster.
- Modeling and testing transformations in dbt.
- Comfort with AWS (GCP/Azure welcome) and provisioning cloud resources in code with Terraform (or similar).
- Experience operating Snowflake, including structuring roles/permissions and optimizing performance and cost.
- Strong understanding of data quality and governance fundamentals (validation, documentation, lineage, privacy).
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, RudderStack/Segment, DataHub, Apache Iceberg (or other open table formats), and A/B testing/feature flags.
