Senior Manager – Site Selection & Capacity Program Management (AI)

Nscale is building a vertically integrated cloud specifically for AI, owning the entire stack from data centers to software using sustainable technology.

What you will do

• Build and maintain a pipeline of Greenfield and Brownfield sites across Japan.
• Evaluate sites based on power capacity, grid connection, seismic risk, and zoning requirements.
• Manage permitting timelines with local governments and planning authorities.
• Track colocation market dynamics, capacity supply, and pricing trends.
• Lead technical due diligence for site conversions and infrastructure readiness.
• Coordinate with regional utilities to validate power availability and connection timelines.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Center development, infrastructure, or mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years leading site selection and capacity planning specifically in the Data Center space.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing complex cross-functional programs involving Legal, Finance, and Energy.
• Ability to support executive decision-making through business cases and capacity models.
• Must be based in Japan to perform site visits and engage local stakeholders.
