Salary: $174,051 - $273,775 (depending on geographic pay zone)

What you will do
- Define and execute the long-term AI/ML strategy to align with product and business goals.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of machine learning engineers and scientists.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of key AI/ML initiatives, including LLM integration and prompt engineering.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership in product, engineering, and data science to drive product vision.
- Optimize engineering processes to improve team velocity, code quality, and deployment standards.
- Manage resource allocation and mitigate technical risks to maintain project momentum.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of industry experience in the data science domain.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience.
- Proven track record of building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing ML teams.
- Experience building and scaling machine learning models for business applications using large datasets.
Nice to have
- Experience in consumer/B2C or enterprise/B2B SaaS environments.
- Expertise in developing deep learning-based models and LLM-related applications.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous and complex problems and break them into manageable components.
