What you will do

• Lead technical execution of complex AI initiatives, owning the design and delivery of solutions within a product domain.
• Design, build, train, and improve LLM-based systems for conversational AI, personalization, and clinical decision support.
• Own problems end-to-end, including scoping with clinicians, building datasets, and shipping to production.
• Develop robust evaluation frameworks, including offline benchmarks and human-in-the-loop review processes.
• Build and improve infrastructure for data pipelines, training, inference, and prompt management.
• Partner with clinicians and product teams to translate medical requirements into measurable ML improvements.

Requirements

• Must be based in the U.S.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience with 1+ years building and deploying ML systems, including generative AI/LLMs.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to ship production-ready code in Python.
• Practical understanding of modern LLM techniques like prompting, RAG, and fine-tuning.
• Experience working with real-world data and designing safety-focused evaluation frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience applying ML/LLMs in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated domains.
• Experience with clinical NLP, medical knowledge representation, or EHR data.
• Experience building agentic systems or tool-using LLMs in production.
• Track record of technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
