Satellite Test Software Lead (Aerospace)

Location: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee (U.S. work authorization required). Based in the Greater Seattle Area.

Salary: $181,626 – $276,539 (varies by location).

What you will do

• Define and own the architecture of the test software ecosystem, including test executive frameworks and data pipelines.
• Design reliable and scalable test software systems to support multi-vehicle production.
• Lead the development of test sequencing engines and automated go/no-go limit checking systems.
• Integrate test software with hardware interfaces, including serial buses, analog/discrete I/O, and RF test equipment.
• Lead a team of test software engineers, providing technical direction, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Drive the adoption of automated testing, including unit and regression suites, for test infrastructure.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required.
• Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in test software development or embedded systems.
• Demonstrated experience architecting automated test frameworks for production or flight hardware.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
• Experience leading software engineering teams and coordinating across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in software engineering or related field.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (VxWorks, QNX, RTEMS).
• Experience with real-time simulation platforms like Speedgoat or dSPACE.
• Experience scaling test software programs from development to rate production.
