hirify.global (Elroy Air) is building a new category of aerospace, logistics, and robotics systems from the ground up.

What you will do

• Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and safety hazard analyses for structural, mechanical, environmental, and electrical components.
• Design and commission custom test fixtures and automated test equipment using CAD and rapid-prototyping methods.
• Install and calibrate sensors (strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers) and configure DAQ systems to capture critical data.
• Process raw test data to evaluate system performance and perform root-cause failure analysis.
• Partner with Design, Systems, and Flight Test teams to translate aircraft requirements into physical test criteria.
• Ensure all documentation and testing processes support FAA and UAS certification pathways.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a hardware verification, environmental qualification, or physical lab testing environment.
• Hands-on experience with electric motors, propulsion systems, battery systems, or EV systems.
• Proficiency in operating data acquisition hardware (e.g., National Instruments, Dewesoft) and associated instrumentation.
• Ability to process and analyze data using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws (EAR).

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace, UAV, automotive EV, or robotics industries.
• Familiarity with hardware qualification standards like DO-160G or MIL-STD-810.
• Experience with automated testing or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platforms.
• Experience designing structural load-cells or thermal/environmental testing setups.
