What you will do

• Lead the migration of Kafka infrastructure to on-prem management and oversee ongoing operations, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Support filmmaking pipelines by managing the digital asset version control system based on Perforce P4.
• Define the strategic direction of data streaming offerings through resource planning and industry analysis.
• Collaborate with Systems teams to coordinate machine configuration, security protocols, and patching policies.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in a Linux environment and participate in on-call rotations for vital services.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience implementing and supporting mission-critical services on Linux.
• Expertise in administering Kafka or other data streaming services.
• Proficiency in Python or shell scripting for automation.
• Strong Linux systems engineering skills, including experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Ability to lead large projects and communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify participant)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Perforce P4.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Splunk, or Oracle DB.
• Background working in an Animation or VFX studio environment.
• Experience operating and securing Cloud-based services.
