Senior Systems Engineer (Windows)

Location: Chicago, New York, or London office

Base salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD per year, plus discretionary bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Support and maintain East Coast data centers.
• Design, build, and maintain Windows Server, desktop, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Automate deployment and support for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with Security on identity and access management, patch remediation, system hardening, and security best practices.
• Improve monitoring systems, perform Windows performance tuning, and maintain technical documentation.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code, mentor junior IT staff, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Senior-level infrastructure engineering experience.
• Deep practical knowledge of Windows operating systems, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience implementing and supporting Azure AD and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and multicast networking.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Salt, or Terraform.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
