Employee Relations Specialist

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite full-time position. Occasional travel and evening or weekend availability may be required for investigations, meetings, mission milestones, or urgent matters.

Salary: $94,300–$133,860 USD per year in California.

What you will do

• Manage employee relations matters from intake through resolution in partnership with the Manager of Employee Relations.
• Conduct and support workplace investigations through interviews, fact-finding, documentation, analysis, and case summaries.
• Partner with managers and People Business Partners on policies, documentation, escalation procedures, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain employee relations case files and case management data, including investigation outcomes and follow-up actions.
• Research employment laws, support policy reviews and compliance audits, and assist with related communications and training.
• Analyze case trends and prepare reports and dashboards to identify organizational risks and proactive solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, human resources, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or conducting workplace investigations.
• Working knowledge of federal and California employment laws, including EEO, ADA, FMLA/CFRA, FLSA, and wage and hour requirements.
• Strong investigative, written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person or be eligible for deemed export licensing, including U.S. citizenship, U.S. nationality, lawful permanent residency, or qualifying asylee or refugee status.
