TL;DR
Director Business Development (Life Sciences): Driving new business and expanding strategic client partnerships across the life sciences sector with an accent on territory strategy, pipeline growth, and account expansion. Focus on winning new business from pharmaceutical and biotech accounts and leading complex sales cycles.
Location: Remote (US). Candidates located in San Francisco or a commutable distance to San Francisco, California are preferred. Candidates must be in the California / West Coast Time Zone.
Salary: $150,000 – $195,000 + commission

What you will do
- Meet and exceed annual sales targets and own revenue delivery for assigned territory.
- Build and execute strategic territory and account plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Develop and maintain a qualified sales pipeline and manage forecasting accuracy.
- Lead strategic client engagement from initial approach through to deal closure.
- Own proposal strategy and lead cross-functional deal teams and bid processes.
- Expand account wallet share through strategic planning and engagement with the eClinical offering.
Requirements
- Proven track record of sales success within life sciences (CRO, eClinical, or clinical technology).
- Experience building territory strategies and delivering significant revenue growth.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles, including proposal development and bid leadership.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Life Sciences (MBA preferred).
- Fluent English proficiency required.
