What you will do

• Design and build AI-powered math lessons that combine strong pedagogy with engaging learner experiences.
• Evaluate AI tutor outputs to ensure they are instructionally effective and developmentally appropriate.
• Guide and refine AI tutor behavior by shaping prompts so the agent teaches as an expert math tutor.
• Collaborate with engineers and AI researchers to continuously improve AI-driven instruction through testing and iteration.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in early elementary math education, curriculum design, or learning science.
• Strong technical foundation in computer science, AI, or educational technology.
• AI-forward workflow with daily use of LLMs and generative AI tools.
• Ability to communicate fluently with engineers and product teams to translate instructional ideas into AI experiences.
• Capacity to ramp up quickly and hit a high output bar independently.

Nice to have

• Background in computer science, software engineering, or data science.
• Experience designing AI-assisted educational experiences or building edtech products.
• Familiarity with research-based math instruction, including number sense and productive struggle.
• Portfolio demonstrating curriculum or product work.
