Senior Corporate Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Corporate Accountant (GAAP/ASC 606): Applying GAAP to review customer contracts, prepare and enter contract information, create journal entries, and compile and analyze revenue information for management with an accent on GAAP/Statutory reporting, deferred revenue and GL reconciliations, and complex revenue analysis. Focus on supporting financial close cycles and improving contract setup and accounting treatment through research, reporting, and process automation.

Salary: $78,990 - $98,740 USD (annual base)

What you will do

• Contribute to financial close cycles by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and preparing information for GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Research and prepare monthly financial report fluxes and revenue-related information for management.
• Review customer contracts for correct setup and accounting treatment, including deferred revenue reconciliations and other GL reconciliations.
• Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and support analysts, consultants, and managers with complex analysis.
• Recommend process improvements and automation and share knowledge with others.
• Manage multiple competing priorities and may lead/direct the work of others.

Requirements

• BA degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including ASC 606.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables); Power Query is a plus.
