TL;DR

Controller (Accounting/Finance): Lead hirify.global’s accounting function, owning the integrity of books and financial reporting while building and mentoring a small accounting team with an accent on month-end close acceleration using AI and automation, audit readiness, and U.S. GAAP compliance. Focus on modernizing AP/AR and expense workflows, driving ASC 606 revenue recognition, and strengthening controls and audit trails through scalable processes and tooling.

What you will do

• Lead accounting operations and a 1–3 person accounting team; set and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Own a fast, reliable month-end close (monthly/quarterly/year-end), using AI and modern tooling to automate reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entry preparation, and close checklists.
• Modernize AP, AR, and expense workflows end-to-end, including AI-enabled invoice capture/coding, collections, expense review, and anomaly/exception detection.
• Deliver financial reporting and insight by preparing and analyzing income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, and producing the monthly reporting package.
• Own revenue recognition and technical accounting under ASC 606, including policy and technical memos for complex transactions.
• Lead audit readiness by managing the audit process end-to-end and maintaining the documentation, policies, and internal controls needed for successful audits.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred (MBA a plus).
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), financial reporting, audit, and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience owning or leading a full audit.
• Track record using AI, automation, and modern accounting tools to drive efficiency (e.g., automating close tasks, reconciliations, AP/AR, or expense processes).
• Experience selecting, implementing, and managing accounting systems and integrations; strong people leadership and communication skills.

Salary: $199,000 - $270,000 per year
