What you will do

• Protect company assets, property, and personnel through proactive crime prevention patrols.
• Conduct sensitive corporate and criminal investigations, including detailed reporting and court testimony.
• Identify and handle trespassers on company property, including making arrests when necessary.
• Coordinate responses to railroad emergencies such as derailments and load securement issues.
• Supervise contract security guards and provide security training to other employees.
• Advise company officials on crime and accident reduction strategies.

Requirements

• Must have completed basic police training at a recognized state-certified academy.
• Must meet peace officer commissioning standards and maintain a valid State Peace Officer License in New Mexico.
• Minimum 18 months of full-time experience as a peace officer with a law enforcement agency.
• Must live or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of Belen, NM.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass extensive background and medical screenings.
• Must have broad knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and railroad industry operations.
