What you will do

• Perform professional-level fire protection engineering services including life safety code consulting, fire alarm design, and smoke control design.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports ensuring compliance with professional standards.
• Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations, research, and detailed design reviews.
• Manage projects including proposal development, scope, schedule, and budget oversight.
• Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Participate in business development activities such as client outreach and professional organization involvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering.
• Must be local to the Houston, TX metro area or willing to relocate.
• Ability to travel to job sites in Texas, Colorado, and surrounding states.
• Effective written and oral communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interaction.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas is preferred.
