Product Power Engineer (RISC-V)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States

Base pay range: $178,848.00–$218,592.00 per year, with possible variable/incentive compensation and equity.

What you will do

• Collect and analyze hirify.global IP power consumption.
• Work with architecture and design teams to optimize designs for state-of-the-art power efficiency.
• Correlate power models with RTL and silicon results.
• Develop new approaches to improve power analysis flows.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Architecture.
• 3+ years of experience in power benchmarking, analysis, and modeling.
• Experience evaluating power impacts at the architecture, logic-design, and circuit levels.
• Good knowledge of computer architecture for high-performance out-of-order CPU designs.
• Experience guiding performance-versus-power trade-offs to reach an optimal design.
• Experience with ASIC power analysis and optimization.
• Self-starter with fast-learning ability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Must provide satisfactory proof of the right to work in the United States of America.
• Access to export-controlled technology is subject to applicable export-control authorization or the company obtaining the necessary export license or approvals.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with hardware development, including RTL or implementation flows, verification/validation, backend flows, or FPGA flows.
• Hands-on software development experience.
