What you will do
- Conduct formal safety assessments, investigations, and evaluations across all company locations, including ramp operations and maintenance bases.
- Facilitate corrective measures for regulatory compliance issues in accordance with FAA and OSHA standards.
- Analyze injury, hazard, and operational safety data to identify trends and create visualizations for leadership reporting.
- Collaborate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Airport Operations to support SMS initiatives.
- Assist in correspondence with FAA, OSHA, and state representatives regarding safety inspections and documentation.
- Support the development and delivery of safety training programs for ramp and station operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in occupational safety, airline safety, SMS administration, or OSHA compliance.
- Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent data analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 5, 14 CFR Part 121, and OSHA 29 CFR 1904/1910 standards.
- Ability to perform physical inspections, including climbing aircraft stands and working in ramp environments.
- Must be able to travel frequently to line stations and maintenance bases.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, aviation safety, or industrial hygiene.
- 5+ years of experience in OSHA compliance or SMS management within a Part 121 regional airline.
- Experience with FAA Voluntary Safety Programs (ASAP, FOQA, VDRP) or OSHA VPP.
- Experience working with contract maintenance and multi-station operational environments.
