What you will do

• Develop and implement EHS programs aligned with ISO 14001 and federal/state regulations.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for environmental and occupational safety.
• Manage facility budgets, infrastructure standards, and contracted maintenance services.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Oversee environmental permitting, reporting, and hazardous material management.
• Drive employee engagement through safety committees, training, and awareness campaigns.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship).
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive EHS experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MIOSHA, and California EPA regulations.
• Proven leadership in building safety programs and driving cultural change.
• Ability to travel between Michigan and California facilities.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
