Engineering Team Lead (CCaaS)

TL;DR

Engineering Team Lead (CCaaS): Providing technical leadership for the Contact Center and Customer Experience engineering team with an accent on scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud communications solutions. Focus on mentoring engineers, driving software architecture, and implementing modern CI/CD and observability practices.

Location: Remote. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Available locations: United States, Canada, or Medellín, Colombia.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day technical direction and mentor software engineers through coaching and code reviews.
• Contribute directly to software design, architecture, development, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Drive the development of CX and CCaaS platforms with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Champion modern practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Support production operations through troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering or platform development experience.
• Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Team Lead, or Senior Software Engineer.
• Experience in CCaaS, CX, UCaaS, or telecommunications.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Elixir, Java, Go, or Node.js.
• Experience designing cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices in Linux/Unix environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Experience with omnichannel engagement, intelligent routing, and CRM integrations.
• Knowledge of SIP, VoIP, WebRTC, and call routing.
• Experience with Elixir, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and Docker.
