Salary: $125,600 - $157,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the design, build, and maintenance of both off-the-shelf and custom Lab Execution platforms.
• Lead and grow a small, agile team using Kanban or Scrum workflows.
• Partner closely with Lab Operations and R&D to turn feedback into rapid platform improvements.
• Architect scalable, cloud-native microservices and front-end applications.
• Implement AI-forward tooling to increase team efficiency and output.
• Ensure technical excellence through robust CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software application development.
• Proven track record of leading and growing high-performing engineering teams.
• Expertise in Python, TypeScript, and React.
• Proficiency with AWS services (Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Glue) and infrastructure as code.
• Strong relational database skills (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and SQL programming.
• Experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka.

Nice to have

• Experience building custom LIMS/LES systems.
• Hands-on experience with LabVantage.
• Based in Austin, TX for shoulder-to-shoulder collaboration.
