What you will do
- Lead early-stage engineering and site development for utility-scale renewable energy, gas generation, BESS, and data center power infrastructure.
- Develop conceptual engineering solutions, preliminary Bills of Material (BOMs), and technical recommendations.
- Manage permitting efforts by coordinating applications and compliance with federal, state, and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Review owner specifications and third-party design packages to identify technical risks and constructability improvements.
- Coordinate technical submittals for utility interconnection, permitting, and power purchase agreement (PPA) activities.
- Mentor technical staff and promote engineering best practices, code compliance, and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or a related ABET-accredited discipline.
- 6+ years of progressive engineering, leadership, or project development experience in utility-scale energy or industrial infrastructure.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts across project development and execution.
- Must be authorized to work in the US (implied by US-specific benefits).
- EIT or FE certification is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with data center power infrastructure or utility-scale gas generation.
- Working knowledge of air quality, environmental, land use, and electrical permitting processes.
- Familiarity with FERC, NERC, and regional ISO/RTO requirements.
- Background in EPC project delivery or owner's engineering.
