What you will do

• Lead quality initiatives for mechanical subsystems to enhance design robustness and reduce defects.
• Establish and maintain standards for design processes, documentation, and verification testing.
• Partner with engineering, NPI, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met.
• Develop and execute design verification plans, including fixture development and validation.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
• Support continuous improvement through training and process refinement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, quality engineering, or product development.
• Strong proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design fundamentals.
• Experience with DFM/DFA principles and design verification testing.
• Knowledge of RCA methods (8D, 5 Whys, A3) and CAPA processes.
• Must be based in North Reading, MA.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and PDM systems.
• Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS.
• Lean Six Sigma certification and FMEA experience.
• Familiarity with semiconductor equipment or SEMI standards.
