What you will do
- Investigate, analyze, and develop process improvements for new and existing products.
- Plan equipment layout and workflow to maintain safe and efficient utilization of plant resources.
- Coordinate Kaizen and continuous improvement activities using RBS principles (standard work, 5S, and variability reduction).
- Lead the development of new tooling, test systems, and machine designs to improve productivity and quality.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Why, 8D) to troubleshoot internal and external quality issues.
- Manage CAPEX projects and support the integration of automation technology and vision systems.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in DMAIC, Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC methodologies.
- Proficiency in statistical software (Minitab, JMP) and database tools.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO9001) and quality tools (MSA, R&R, PFMEA).
- Ability to work onsite in a factory environment in Fairport, NY.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of LabView and SolidWorks.
- Experience integrating automation technology and vision systems.
- CAPEX project management experience.
