Fullstack Engineer (TypeScript/Java)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid working model with remote work permitted up to 2 days per week, or 1 day per week during the first 6 months. Applicants must already hold the legal right to work in Germany. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available.

What you will do

• Design, develop, own, deploy, and maintain end-to-end product features.
• Build and evolve event-driven backend services and frontend applications using TypeScript and Java.
• Use gRPC as the primary service communication protocol.
• Collaborate with business, product, and data stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-value features.
• Influence architectural and engineering process decisions across the organisation.
• Mentor engineers and improve tooling, documentation, shared libraries, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Track record of delivering complex, high-impact initiatives from business case through implementation and results measurement.
• Strong understanding of observability, including structured logging and distributed tracing in production systems.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain trade-offs and influence technical direction.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives from ambiguity to delivery with minimal guidance.
• Collaborative, empathetic, and inclusive approach with broad understanding of product engineering roles.
• Existing legal right to work in Germany is required; visa sponsorship and relocation support are unavailable.
