Location: Hybrid (Berlin, Germany). Must be based in or be able to relocate to Berlin (office attendance required 2 days a week).

What you will do

• Design, build, and deliver highly scalable software systems for a global business environment across 70+ countries.
• Lead backend and frontend engineering efforts using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and React.
• Own services end-to-end, managing infrastructure automation and continuous deployment.
• Implement high-quality software design using design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Develop secure and resilient financial systems following secure coding best practices.
• Mentor engineers and influence the technical culture through hands-on leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing software systems for complex business domains at a global scale.
• Deep expertise in backend engineering and distributed systems.
• Mastery of Java, Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Engineering ownership mindset with a focus on automation and CI/CD.
