Senior Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the Netherlands or hybrid in Berlin, with attendance at the Berlin or The Hague office twice per week.

What you will do

• Own features end-to-end as Feature Lead, from problem scoping and technical planning through production delivery.
• Design and deliver LLM-powered agents integrated into SOC workflows, including tools, prompts, context, evaluations, and guardrails.
• Make tradeoffs across agent accuracy, cost, latency, autonomy, and human oversight.
• Lead technical design discussions and raise standards for architecture, code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with security analysts and customers, mentor engineers, participate in hiring, and support onboarding.
• Contribute to a psychologically safe, outcome-oriented culture and lead by example during incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience with meaningful full-stack exposure.
• Strong depth in at least one technical area and broad competence across backend and frontend systems.
• Experience with strongly typed languages such as TypeScript, Java, .NET, PHP, or similar; willingness to work with Go and React.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping at least one non-trivial LLM-powered agent or agentic workflow.
• Experience with secure coding, system performance, reliability, maintainability, mentoring, technical communication, and design documentation.
• Fluent English is required.
