What you will do

• Lead the design and development of mechanical components and system architectures for high-precision motion instruments.
• Create advanced 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings following GD&T standards.
• Perform engineering analysis, including tolerance stack-ups, error budgets, and FEA (thermal, structural, and modal).
• Design monolithic flexures, precision mechanisms, and opto-mechanical assemblies.
• Implement closed-loop feedback systems using capacitive, strain gauge, or laser interferometer sensors.
• Oversee prototype development, assembly, and performance verification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or mechatronic systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with precision manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and tight-tolerance fabrication.
• Must have valid US work authorization (sponsorship is not provided).

Nice to have

• Experience with PDM systems and engineering change workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and lean/5S principles.
• Background in high-mix, low-volume production environments.
