What you will do

• Drive the motorized product roadmap using ideation and innovation techniques.
• Lead front-end technology and feasibility phases for complete system innovations spanning mechanical and system (sensors/software/batteries) elements.
• Develop functional POC rigs to validate ideas and ensure rapid iteration.
• Communicate design concepts through sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models, and prototypes.
• Conduct engineering studies to solve technical and consumer issues with a focus on user experience.
• Collaborate with global AD and CI teams to maintain consumer-focused experience through development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or Industrial Design.
• 4-8+ years of proven experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with electromechanical products and designing for plastics (silicone, rubber, and injection molding).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo.
• Ability to operate in a lab environment for prototype building and product testing.
• Location: Must be based in Needham, MA

Nice to have

• Experience in the consumer goods household appliance space.
